Plato
Ornithorhynchus anatinus – platypus (Semi aquatic egg-laying mammal.) “Who hasn’t laid an egg for a while”. Plato is a retired philosophy college professor. Who resides as a local at the Wading Pool. His estimated age is about 125, and there are a lot of stories that goes with that.
Louie
Louie is the bartender at the Wading Pool. He’s the guy’s guy. The good friend. Louie can let you talk his ear off, as long as you tip well doing so. He and Plato are good friends. He is also working on his prominent acting career, at least he’s had three drama classes.
Atticus
Our bitter bohemian artist, who hangs in bitter bohemian artist circles. He’s always working on that screenplay and story that is almost finished. Which has been in the works for 15 years, 2 of those years in the local correctional facility upstate. Full of knowledge, and full of something else.
Wade
Wade, the owner of the Wading Pool – the bar for locals, and the bar for everyone else during spring break. He’s heard every joke, seen every event, and done everything else. He’s a smart businessman, gruff exterior and most known local in town.
J. J. (Juan Juan)
J. J. is the local real estate developer, and a native from Cuba. He’s almost smooth with the ladies, but not quite. He speaks of himself in the 3rd person. Often.
Otis
Otis is the local sheriff in town, soft spoken, efficient and about 650 pounds of pure Law enforcement. “Spring break is a good time for patience, clarity, and to be dressed in full riot gear.”
The Wading Pool
Not really a character, yet full of character(s). This is the bar for the locals in Crittertopia. Owned by Wade. Happy hour is between 2:15 and 2:45. Really happy hour: 12:59- 1:59pm. Pancakes served next door at 2:01am
